For organizations & leaders

a space to acknowledge the experience

Holding the Weight is a 90-minute facilitated session that helps teams acknowledge the human impact of difficult organizational periods and regain the steadiness needed to move forward constructively.

This work does not analyze decisions or attempt to solve organizational challenges in a single conversation.

Instead, it creates a structured space where teams can:

• acknowledge the realities they have navigated
• reconnect with shared purpose and responsibility
• restore a sense of steadiness within the team.

Sometimes simply naming what has been carried quietly can shift how people move forward together.

when organizations bring in this work

Organizations typically engage this session when a team has recently experienced:

• layoffs or workforce reductions
• restructuring or departmental change
• leadership transitions
• mergers or acquisitions
• prolonged crisis response
• sustained periods of uncertainty or pressure.

In many of these situations, teams continue functioning but carry unspoken strain.

This session creates a moment to pause, acknowledge that experience, and support the team in moving forward.

the session

Holding the Weight is a 90-minute facilitated experience designed for intact teams or leadership groups.

The conversation gently guides participants through:

• acknowledging the invisible weight of the work
• reflecting on shared experiences
• reconnecting with the meaning and responsibility of the work
• identifying simple ways to support one another moving forward.

The structure is intentionally simple.

The value lies in the quality of the conversation and the space being held, not in complex exercises or presentations.

what participants take away

Participants typically leave with:

• language to acknowledge what the team has experienced
• a renewed sense of steadiness and shared understanding
• practical ways to support one another moving forward.

This work does not promise transformation or culture change.

Its purpose is more modest and often more useful:
helping teams regain steadiness after difficult periods so they can continue their work with clarity and mutual support.

Holding the weight

a facilitated session for teams navigating organizational weight after difficult organizational periods

Organizations sometimes go through difficult periods.

Layoffs. Restructuring. Leadership changes. Prolonged crisis response. Economic uncertainty.

Even when these changes are necessary, they leave human consequences within teams.

People continue showing up and doing their work, yet something often shifts beneath the surface.

Energy may feel lower. Trust may feel more fragile. Collaboration may feel harder.

These experiences are rarely acknowledged directly in the workplace.

Most organizations move forward quickly — focusing on strategy, performance, and the next set of priorities.

Yet the human weight of these moments often remains.

about dr. jaspreet soor

My work sits at the intersection of systems and human experience during difficult moments.

Before becoming a transitions consultant and facilitator, I trained and practiced as a physician. My work has also included leadership roles in digital health transformation and years supporting individuals through significant life transitions, including grief, loss, and end-of-life care.

Across these environments I have seen how people often carry profound responsibility while continuing to function within complex systems.

This work draws on that experience to create spaces where difficult realities can be acknowledged with honesty and steadiness.

exploring this work with your team

I am currently piloting Holding the Weight with a small number of organizations as the model evolves.

If your team has recently navigated a difficult organizational period and this approach resonates, I would welcome a conversation to explore whether this session may support your team.
