The chrysalis moment: death, rebirth, & authentic living
I had a chrysalis moment earlier this year.
What I thought was a simple transformation turned out to be something far deeper—a death and a rebirth. I’m only just emerging on the other side, and it amazes me how six short months can change you completely.
I feel like a different person.
I probably am a different person.
And here’s the truth: this is at the heart of the work I now do. I guide others through their own cycles of endings and beginnings, whether that’s navigating a major life transition, preparing for the end of life, or simply longing to reconnect with their authentic self.
Isn’t it interesting how, in our own lives, we forget the countless cycles of endings and beginnings we’ve already gone through? Life and death, again and again—not in the literal sense, but in the way we shed old skins and step into new ones. Some might hear that and think it sounds dark. I see it as beautiful.
Because that is how we grow. Beyond ourselves. Beyond our comfort zones. Beyond even the wildest imaginations of who we can become.
So why am I writing this?
Yes, I want to share a little of my story—but more than that, I want to ground this in a truth that has become so clear to me: the most powerful transformations happen when we come back to our core, our truest self.
Healing and authenticity feed each other. Every step I’ve taken to know myself, to feel at home in my own skin, has changed the way I experience life. It has made me want to live with a zest I never knew before. Not that I lacked passion before—but this time, it feels grounded. Rooted.
The heaviness lifts.
There is joy even in spaces where you never thought you’d find it.
There is a calmness, a peace, even in the hard moments—because you know you’ll overcome them. Because you finally recognize your own power.
This journey has taken me two decades, and I am deeply grateful for the people who have stood beside me through it. Being the nerd I am, those twenty years have been full of deep dives into healing, regeneration, the body–mind connection, and life and death itself.
I’m now working on turning these explorations into meaningful resources that others can use—because I believe our lived wisdom should ripple outwards. In the meantime, I continue to share my experiences, teachings, and practices with clients and communities so others can also find a little more ease in their time on this planet.
If this resonates with you—if you’re standing at a threshold in life, searching for clarity, or longing for deeper meaning—I invite you to connect. Let’s explore how my Life & Legacy Transitions work can help you find peace, power, and joy in your own journey.
